What Folks are Saying
“Molly is very sweet an cute. My granddaughter enjoyed her. She was sad when I got her on chat. But after reading Molly’s story she was smiling and happy!”
“My 5 year old daughter said she liked when the puppy got excited for her treat, shes says she liked her going crazy. She loved the name of the puppy. She learned you have to wait, because if not you dont enjoy it as much.”
The Real-Life Story Behind the Book
Shortly after my wife and I met, Molly Paws made herself “my dog”. She makes sure to be in the same room with me wherever I’m at in the house and she listens to me really well. Molly also has a habit of talking. She will distinctly call out “Pa-Pa” and “I love you.” Sometimes when I go on a pizza run or get gas for the car, I will take Molly with me and I’ve always called them a “Papa Paws” adventure.
Every evening after dinner, Molly will stare at me until it’s time for me to give her an after-dinner treat. And if she feels I’m not paying enough attention to her, she will talk to me. Usually, she starts shortly after I’ve eaten my dinner. She does not do this with my wife. It’s only me. So when it came time to make the first book in The Everyday Adventures of Papa & Paws, this evening ritual seemed like a perfect starting point. Even though one of the first ideas for the series started with Gracie, I was not quite ready to tell her story. (Don’t worry, I did in Book 3, Brave Little Gracie).
